Searching for my true identity has become a life long journey. One that I won't abandon until the end of my life. I love the idea of discovering new things about who I am, pursuing new and interesting sides of myself. Making jewelry is my new found identity. I have discovered the freedom of working with metals, the exhilaration of discovering that unique stone, and most important the pleasure of viewing your final creation. A year ago, I embarked in this journey of self discovery. I have always loved unique jewelry and have been collecting pieces for a long time. I have tasted the process of stringing beads together, however it was never enough. Curiosity guided me towards Metal Clay and after a few workshops and experimentation, once again I needed more. I enrolled in a Fabrication class at a local community college, the rest is history. Under the incredible mentoring of talented artist Aleris Hart, my true love and passion emerged. Everyday is a new journey of self discovery and the metals are my guide and vessel. Now I only hope to find enough time to dedicate myself to this journey.
